Your Stories Stay on Your Mac

StorySavant is designed with your privacy as a priority. Your manuscripts, interview data, story blueprints, and all creative content are stored locally on your Mac using Apple's SwiftData framework. We do not operate servers that store your writing.

What We Send to AI Services

When you use Story Guide or CoWriter features, StorySavant sends the minimum context necessary to the AI service (Anthropic's Claude API) to generate or refine text. This includes:

• The relevant portion of your manuscript (the chapter or passage being worked on)
• Your story blueprint and outline (for context during generation)
• Your style profile data (for voice preservation)

This data is sent via encrypted HTTPS connections. Anthropic's API does not use your data for training. Refer to Anthropic's privacy policy for their data handling practices.

What We Do Not Collect

• We do not track your writing habits or content
• We do not use analytics services that monitor your creative work
• We do not share your data with third parties
• We do not store your content on our servers

Subscription & Account Data

Subscription management is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not process payments directly or store payment information.

API Keys

Your Anthropic API key (if you provide one) is stored securely in the macOS Keychain on your device. It is never transmitted anywhere except directly to Anthropic's API endpoints.
